SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering companies for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed in regards to the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a website result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The provider point made for intervention experiences a higher influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to permit the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
