Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house using a combined gross family income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need nsfas check not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the check here last day.
